How to Create a 3D Flipbook Album
3D Flipbooks are a modern alternative to traditional printed albums. Albumya's interactive 3D rendering engine converts flat page layouts into realistic flipping books, complete with page shadows and folding sound effects, accessible on any mobile device.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open the Digital Album Tab
Select your client from the left sidebar and click on the 'Digital Album' workspace tab (positioned next to the 'Photos' file manager tab in the client dashboard workspace panel).
Configure Cover Assets & Title
Upload a front cover photo in the Front Cover zone, and optionally a back cover photo in the Back Cover zone. If omitted, a premium default linen cover texture will be applied. Fill in the Album Title (e.g. 'Rahul & Priya - Wedding Diaries').
Upload Designed Layout Sheets
Click the upload box inside the interior pages panel or drag and drop your designed landscape/portrait album pages into the upload area. The system will start uploading files and show progress bars.
Sort the Page Sequence
Once the sheets are uploaded, drag and drop the page thumbnail cards in the grid to sort them in the exact sequential order you want them to flip.
Compile and Preview 3D Flipbook
Click 'Create Digital Album' to compile the flipbook. The compiler modal will track upload and database registration step-by-step. Once compiled, click 'Preview 3D Flipbook' to check realistic 3D flipping, page shadows, and flip sounds.
Share Flipbook via URL or QR Code
Copy the public album URL or click the 'Download QR Code' button. Print the generated QR code on standees or event invite cards so guests can scan it and view the flipbook instantly on their mobile devices.
To ensure fast loading times on mobile devices, compress your page layout exports (JPEG or WebP format) to under 2MB each. The 3D engine will render them smoothly without consuming high mobile bandwidth.
You can secure client digital albums by enabling password protection. This blocks external search engines from indexing private wedding details and allows only family members to open the flipbook.
